Your PDFs have
a voice, too.

Give that paper on your reading list a voice. Turn its key ideas into a narration or a conversation between two speakers, in your chosen language.

  • A summary that connects the ideas in your document.
  • Narration or podcast. Choose how you listen.
  • An MP3 and a script to revisit what matters.

Narration

  1. One voice: It all starts with a good question.
  2. One voice: To answer it, we test our ideas against the evidence.
  3. One voice: And the best part: every discovery can open up a new question.

Podcast

  1. Voice 1: So, does research end once it finds an answer?
  2. Voice 2: Not always. It often opens up new questions.
  3. Voice 1: And how do we know if an idea holds up?
  4. Voice 2: By testing it against the evidence, and being clear about its limits.

Before you give your PDF a voice

Does it read every word of the PDF?

It creates a summarized adaptation of your selected pages, keeping the main ideas. All selected text is considered together to build one continuous script. You can download the script to review it.

How are narration and podcast different?

Narration presents the content with one voice. Podcast turns it into a conversation between two voices, with questions, answers, and explanations based on the document. Both use one credit per selected page.

How long is the audio, and how long does generation take?

The target is about one minute per page with substantial content: 15 pages aim for about 15 minutes. This is an estimate. Processing can take several minutes depending on the text and voice generation; follow its status in Your audios.

Can I choose specific pages?

Yes. Choose individual pages or ranges, such as 1-3,5,8. The limit is 50 selected pages per audio. For more than 20 pages, we recommend splitting the selection across multiple audios.

Does it work with papers and scanned PDFs?

You can use papers and other text documents. We attempt OCR for scans, but the quality depends on the file. Review the script when the document includes formulas, figures, or complex tables.

Can I download and keep the audio?

Yes. Download the MP3, script, and original PDF. Files are kept in PDFidelity for a maximum of five days after uploading, so download them if you want to keep them.

Do I need a separate plan or a translated PDF?

You do not need to translate the PDF first or buy a separate plan. Audio and translation share your credit balance, but are created separately. If generation fails, the credits charged for that audio are automatically refunded.
